Ring is an easy-to-navigate chain of linked sites on the Internet
that feature portraits. Each site is linked to the next in an unbroken
ring. No matter where you start you will eventually be able to make your
way around all the sites and end up back at the beginning.
If you visit a site in this
ring that has a guestbook or comment form, we encourage you to
leave a message
indicating that you found the site through the ring. Your feedback is helpful
to the artists who have created these sites for your enjoyment.

The Professional Portrait Painter's Ring
can take you to some interesting sites from all around the world.
The sites that are in this
ring show the work of accomplished portrait painters. Some of these sites
feature portraits that can be commissioned. Others show how portraits are
painted. All the sites represent a high degree of expertise and are a joy
to peruse.

After you have submitted your
information, you will be shown information about the code for the navigation link. If you are already a member of another ring, the code you already have on your site should be sufficient. If you do not already belong to a ring, you must copy the code
and paste it UNALTERED into your page. IMPORTANT NOTE: The ring link MUST be placed on the same page
that you submit. If you have a separate web ring page where you want to put the link,
that must be the page you submit. This is necessary because a robot checks for the ring
link.
When your site is ready to be
reviewed for acceptance into the ring, wait for the manager to
check your page to see if everything is correct (usually within 1 or 2 days). If
it is correct, you will be entered into the ring.
The robot checks all
the sites. If at any time, the link is missing, the robot will suspend your site and send you a notice. You will
have 3 days to fix the link.
